I bought these earphones based on consumer reviews. and they are disappointing. no bass or midrange, just high frequencies galore. They also feel flimsy.
I like my old sony mdr nc22 much better. they have much warmer and balanced sound. The noice canceling on teh later stopped working after much abuse running and traveling. looking for a replacement...

I don't understand why these personal ear monitors ranked with almost 4 stars. They cannot handle low end frequencies. If you even boost the bass a little bit, they distort. Even without boosting the low end, there are sound quality issues. Sounds very tinny with almost every audio device I used. The only thing they have going for them is that they are comfortable to wear.
